  • 6 cups Mixed salad greens
  • 1 cup shelled Edamame
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage
  • 2 julienned Carrots
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated Fresh ginger

Instructions

  1. 1

Make dressing: Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and a touch of honey (optional).

  2. 2

Pat tuna steaks completely dry. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Press both sides of tuna into sesame seeds to coat.

  4. 4

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over very high heat until smoking.

  5. 5

Sear tuna for 1-2 minutes per side for rare. The center should remain pink.

  • •Use sushi-grade tuna for rare preparation
  • •Very high heat is essential for proper sear
  • •Don't overcook - tuna is best rare
